Yes, the medical-grade silicone is safe on the skin. However, some may experience skin irritation to a lesser or similar extent to using taping. To minimize this, we recommend applying moisturizer on dry skin and gradually increasing usage time. Does WaveWear’s adhesive silicone last? The adhesive silicone is reusable. Handwashing will restore stickiness. For a quick fix, apply rubbing alcohol on a dry cloth and gently wipe off the dust on the silicone. Try dry cleaning if stickiness is not restored after multiple washes. Does silicone taping stay on even when I sweat? Yes, sweat actually helps the adhesive silicone stick better to the skin. Think about plastic wrap sticking better on a wet surface. How do I wash WaveWear? We recommend hand washing WaveWear with neutral laundry detergent to best maintain the product. It is possible to use a washing machine, but this can reduce the product’s lifecycle compared to hand washing. Will WaveWear help treat pain? WaveWear helps reduce pain due to the wrong posture and prevents injuries during workouts. However, for medical treatment of the cause of the pain, please consult a doctor. I've had these leggings for about three weeks and have worn them almost every day! I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, dysautonomia/autonomic dysfunction, vasodilation/vascular issues, and various neuropathies. And I LOVE THESE pants! They are not a medical cure for my symptoms but, boy, are they helpful. Even if you don't have "issues" like mine, I think you'll find a pretty cool neuromuscular/proprioception benefit with these. The compression is comfortable and supportive enough I can go without my (required daily) knee high compression socks. I can stand for over an hour in these pants, when I normally can't stand comfortably for more than a few minutes. The veins in my lower legs don't swell and my heart rate/BP stays comfortable. (POTS, dysautonomia)The nylon fiber content/knit might be too warm in summer (see autonomic problems, I overheat easily), but it's very comfortable and odor resistant in these cooler months. For those of you with mast cell issues, I don't react to any material in these pants - nylon or silicone strips. The silicone "KTape" simulation is GREAT. I have terrible proprioception and the KTape simulation works! My knees are better aligned and musculature overall is more coordinated and responsive. I feel stronger. Again, mast cell folks, if you react to adhesives, TRY THIS as a hypoallergenic alternative for generalized taping. (You can't control where the tape goes but calves/knees/quads are a good start for many of us.) I want to try a shirt to see if it helps my upper body compression and shoulder alignment.I can't speak to long term durability yet, but so far the fabric feels strong and construction is good. (A few stitches popped at the waist when I first put them on, but they were basting stitches and not necessary to the garment integrity. If you feel stitches pop or the waist seems overly tight on your first wearing, go ahead and stretch the waist to pop that straight stitch and get rid of that tightness. I have worked professionally in the garment industry. I'm sure it's ok to do this!) I've been hand washing them because I want to wear them frequently, and they look like new every time.I'm so grateful they made these in Tall sizes. I'm 5'10" and 135-40 pounds - long legs (33 in inseam) and long seat (waist/hip to crotch). I'm wearing Medium Tall. They stop about 1.5 inches above my ankles and reach my waist/navel. I feel the urge to pull them up at the waist a few times a day, but I still find them more comfortable than all my other compression leggings. Can't wait to try more of these products!I love the idea behind these pants! I often wear KT tape for knee pain and these pants have it built in! More on sizing below, but for me, the silicone taping hit the right places. Overall, the material and quality is really great, very stretchy, and pretty flattering.I am a yoga teacher, so primarily use these leggings in yoga classes. It’s maybe not the best use case for the pants, as the adhesion doesn’t allow the pants to stretch/slide over your skin well. I could see them being very good for running.Note that they run VERY SMALL! I’m usually XS, or the smallest size, in most brands, but I couldn’t even fit in the XS here. I had to reorder a small and even that is pretty snug. Definitely size up from your usual size.I've been very happy using these leggings for running and yoga. It's the first time that I've tried silicone taping, and the support around the knees has been really excellent for running in particular (I run anywhere from 5k up to half-marathons). It also keeps the leggings in place (no sliding up or down), which I appreciate during my flow yoga sessions. With the gentle pressure provided by the silicone taping, I feel like I warm up faster and don't feel as much tension in my legs -- which is a benefit for both running as well as yoga when I attempt the deeper stretches. This is a big difference compared to standard workout leggings, which don't provide any support. In terms of the fit, I'm 5'5" and just under 120 pounds, usually wearing an XS or S depending on the brand. For this product, I picked an S, which fits perfectly in length as well as around the waist. If you're between sizes, I'd recommend picking the larger size.Overall, I think these workout leggings are great, and I'll definitely continue using them for running and yoga. Highly recommended for anyone doing workouts that impact knees!I have bad varicose veins in my legs and bad knees, so I often wear compression knee socks and knee supports when I exercise. These leggings have both compression and knee support taping, so they work just great for me. I've tried these leggings for both flexibility and intense workouts (running, yoga, and bouldering). My legs feel much less swollen after the workouts and I don't need to put on extra knee supports for running anymore. Very geared toward sports and workouts.Great stretch for yoga and no jiggle on legs.I really like the material of the product. Not thick but not see through at all. They dry quickly, so felt very comfortable after sweaty workouts.Size-wise, I am 5'3 105 lbs, normally wear 2 or 4 for pants and small fits perfectly on me. Maybe too perfectly? When putting these leggings on, the silicone tapes should be placed over the knees, back calves, and front thighs per the intructions. At first, I did not read the instruction carefully and did not align silicone tapes well on my legs to where they should be, and it was uncomfortable and not helpful at all (of course). I say this as it might be hard to move around silicone tapes during workouts as the silicone tapes stick to your legs like kineology tapes.Overall Great great great product! Thank you!
